Ian is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of SEEK. He commenced in both roles on July 1 2021.
Ian joined SEEK in April 2019 in the dual roles of Chief Operating Officer and CEO of Asia Pacific and Americas. Before joining SEEK Ian spent 11 years at Commonwealth Bank of Australia. He was CBA’s Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director from 2011 until 2018. Prior to joining CBA Ian was a partner of McKinsey and Company.
Ian has non-profit board roles in education and the performing arts, and advisory board roles in private equity and fintech.
Ian holds a Bachelor of Arts and Law (Honours) from the University of Auckland, and Masters of Law from Cambridge University (International Corporate Law) and New York University (International Relations).
Kate has overall responsibility for SEEK's Global Finance operations including Investor Relations, ensuring the necessary operational and financial processes and infrastructure are in place and aligned with SEEK's strategies and continued rapid growth.
Kate joined SEEK in June 2021, with more than 20 years of Finance experience, including as Chief Financial Officer of RMIT University in Melbourne, Group Head of Finance & Performance at Tesco Plc and Chief Financial Officer of the Financial Times Group in London.
Kate holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of NSW, is a Chartered Accountant and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Kathleen is responsible for People and Culture, including Corporate Communications across SEEK. The focus of her role is to create an environment for the people at SEEK to achieve the company's growth agenda and build on its unique and highly respected company culture.
Kathleen joined SEEK in May 2016, bringing a wealth of experience across the technology, professional services and employment industries. Before joining SEEK, Kathleen worked for IBM in various roles across the Asia Pacific region, most recently as HR Director for Australia and New Zealand. Prior to this, she held senior HR roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting and Robert Walters. Kathleen holds a Bachelor of Behavioural Science with a double major in Psychology.
Peter joined SEEK in August 2020 as the Chief Executive Officer for Asia. In this role, Peter has executive responsibility for SEEK Asia, which is the leading provider of employment marketplaces operating across seven countries throughout South East Asia and Hong Kong.
Prior to joining SEEK, Peter was the co-founder and CEO of premium digital streaming service HOOQ, a joint venture between Singtel, Sony and Warner Brothers. Peter has more than 20 years of experience across the technology, media and telecommunications sector in leadership roles at Globe Telecom and Virgin Mobile.
Peter holds a Bachelor of Science and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
Kendra leads SEEK’s employment and learning businesses across the Australia and New Zealand markets, encompassing SEEK, SEEK Learning and Career Services, SEEK Business, Grad Connection and SEEK Volunteer.
Kendra joined SEEK in 2015 as Marketing Director, and was most recently SEEK’s Chief Commercial Officer.
Prior to SEEK, Kendra held a series of senior marketing and commercial roles within the retail sector, including at Coles in Australia and Tesco in the UK. Kendra commenced her career in strategy as a consultant with McKinsey & Company.
Kendra holds a Masters in European Politics from the College of Europe, where she was a Fulbright Scholar. Prior to this, Kendra completed a Bachelor of Economics and Mathematics at Yale University.
Emmett is responsible for managing SEEK’s Latin Americas operating businesses in both Brazil and Mexico, along with various other portfolio investments made by SEEK. Emmett joined SEEK in 2016 as Commercial Director (ANZ) leading the go-to-market, product marketing and pricing capability development for over 2 years. Following this, Emmett was appointed Managing Director - Product & Technology (APAC) where he commenced SEEK’s unification journey towards combined Product Management capabilities; and integration of Architecture, Infrastructure and Engineering Services across ANZ and Asia-based teams.
Prior to SEEK, Emmett held various senior commercial, operating and corporate development roles with Kmart Australia, Wesfarmers Limited, start-up and private equity businesses. Emmett commenced his career as a strategy consultant with McKinsey & Company.
Emmett attended the General Management Program at Harvard Business School, and holds a Masters degree in Finance along with Bachelor degrees in both Engineering and Commerce from the University of Melbourne.
Lisa has overall responsibility for SEEK’s global Technology operations including developing and executing the strategy and capability of SEEK’s technology people, platforms and services.
Lisa joined SEEK in 2020, with more than 20 years of technology experience, including leadership roles at Transurban, Australia Post and National Australia Bank.
Lisa holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of New South Wales and is an alumni of Columbia Business School.
Simon is responsible for the Asia Pacific and Americas operating business’ Strategy, Product and Artificial Intelligence teams. Simon brings to this role his previous experience as Group Strategy Director, and he serves on the board of several of SEEK’s strategic minority investments.
Prior to joining SEEK, Simon worked in strategy roles at Telstra and A.T. Kearney. Simon also has over 10 years’ experience working extensively in online industries in Australia and the UK, including governments and start-ups.
Simon holds an MBA from Melbourne Business School and a Bachelor of Business from Monash University majoring in Marketing.
